I don't own HOI4, but everything I have read suggests that it is quite different from HOI3, so enjoying HOI3 does not guarantee that you will like HOI4. Robots/Synths seem useless thanks to megacorp expansion.Current reports/reviews seem to indicate its unstable/very buggy and suffers from large scale performance issues.Very expensive when compared to HOI4 even with sales.Feel interesting and I am a space sci-fi fan (Homeworld, Sins of a Solar Empire, EVE Online).Many whom I have asked have told me to pick Stellaris over HOI4 (They do own said games).Completely fresh experience = interest is high.Friend has said to wait until MTG comes out.10% Less map tiles so getting a small feeling it feels 'smaller' so large scale encircelements aren't as possible.Focus tree DLC model makes it a very expensive in the future and each expansion seems to only add 5 national trees.But a nation can have a very small tree (Italy/France) or generic one which is just awful On one hand they can make countries feel very interesting and fun. Focus trees are a double edged dagger.Not a bad thing but seems like has taken away certain depth Know I will enjoy at least some playtroughs (National China.Currently cheaper with all DLC than Stellaris (~36в‚¬).Coming DLC will bring fuel & make naval combat more interesting.Updated map & engine when compared to HOI3.Focus trees can make for very interesting unique playtroughs.
